Freeverse today announced an update to the thrilling arcade shooting game, Kill Monty. Kill Monty 1.1 is now fully Universal for both Intel and PowerPC Macs. Other new features include a new "Assault" gameplay mode, an online high score list, and a complete rebalancing of the weapons. This pulse-pounding finger-banger just got even more exciting.
In the tradition of such extinction-level events as asteroid impacts, super-novas and Ashlee Simpson Christmas albums, Freeverse proudly announces Kill Monty, the game that spanks your adrenal gland and makes you call it "Papi."
Inspired by the arcade game Smash TV, Kill Monty offers multiple levels of non-stop shooting and bucket after bucket of red food-coloring (Freeverse has a family-friendly image to maintain, after all). It's also quite a bargain, priced at only $12.95, which would've bought you only 51 games of Smash TV.
The story features exactly two words, so it won't over-tax your higher brain function or be an impediment to our literacy-challenged customers (SimStapler high scorers take note).
After you've tried the demo and purchase the game, you'll get access to the flame thrower which throws flames and the rail gun which guns rails...or something (and trust your editor, dear readers, you'll need them). Anyway, it's super cool and it's only for the Mac.

What's New:
- Universal Binary build
- Online high scores
- New "Assault" gameplay mode, mixing nonstop carnage with speedrunning. Kill as much as possible before time runs out! Killing bosses or picking up a 1-up gets you 15 extra seconds, but die, and you lose 30 seconds.
Gameplay balance changes:
- Grenades now do 5x more damage
- Flamethrower does 3x more damage (but no longer passes through enemies)
- Railgun does more damage and fires faster at higher levels
- Armageddon X Laser now has a score bonus. Think of it as Star Power, only with more death
