Rainbow Creatures, together with Legacy Interactive, has released a frenzied and funny service game, Fever Frenzy, now for the Apple Macintosh platform. Because, you know, with all that dashing around diners, manic cake baking and Mystic Inn management, sooner or later, someone was going to end up in the hospital.
Fever Frenzy takes place in four crazy hospitals at the time when an unknown disease strikes the Earth. The player takes the role of one of the two game characters, trying to cure the patients and fighting back the virus at the same time through a series of minigames. The game brings the service genre to the player in an unique pack of funny, twisted diseases (like the Baboonic plague, Bipolarbear disorder, Mother goose bumps, and 3rd degree sideburns), fast paced action, and original minigames.
The player has to manage the day-to-day routine of various hospitals, diagnosing and curing the patients. All patients have unique personalities and voices, and each of them features its own original disease. The player has to manage 4 hospitals in 40 levels, and in later levels the player will be challenged to bring parents to their child patients in time and repair falling beds, will have to play one big minigame at the end of each hospital, and more. The player can also upgrade their character and get special "perks" that add powerful abilities.
Fever Frenzy has made it into the top 10 on several PC portals, and Mac gamers can now join in on the fun by downloading the free demo of Fever Frenzy for Mac.
Online purchase of Fever Frenzy is also available at Rainbow Creatures site for $19.95.
