HierarchicalDock comes with many cool features, like QuickLook-Previews instead of file icons, different sorting modes and it can even show invisible files.
But with version 1.2 comes yet another bunch of great features. Here's a few of them:
* Items in the hierarchical menu can now be QuickLook'ed by holding down option and clicking on it / pressing space.
* The Finder's color labels can now be shown as well, which makes for very easy orientation.
* For folders, the number of items they contain can be shown.
* A much requested feature was setting preferences on a per-folder basis. HierarchicalDock version 1.2 gives you just that. By holding down option and command and clicking on a folder, the user is presented with the preferences he can set for that folder.
* A complete list of changes and improvements can be found on the Eternal Storms website.
Some might have heard that Apple is allegedly going to bring back hierarchical menus in the Dock themselves with Mac OS X 10.5.2, which brings up the question what will happen to HierarchicalDock. Because of the unique features HierarchicalDock has and Apple doesn't seem to have implemented, Eternal Storms Software is willing to continue development of the application if a certain level of interest in the application remains.
System Requirements:
* Mac OS X 10.5.x, Universal Binary (Intel and PPC)
* 1.5 MB disk space
HierarchicalDock is Freeware, but the author greatly appreciates donations.
