>Flipsy.com is a service of Direct Textbooks, Inc., which since 2003 has provided a price comparison engine for textbooks. Direct Textbook is run by a team of seven people: Morgan, Eduardo, Megan, Ben, Chris, Luc and Matt. Along with help from our growing community these seven web fans are working hard to make Flipsy.com a success.
"We want to be really good, their mission statement says. "Our aim is to provide a really good service for people selling stuff. For us really good means: you should expect easily accessible and consistently accurate information that covers a wide number of product categories. Of course if we can improve in any way, please let us know."

Flipsy.com helps you determine how much your stuff is worth and where you can sell it. Flipsy.com itself doesn't buy your item(s), but informs you and allows you to compare options for selling your item(s). At present Flipsy.com helps you sell books, iPads, iPhones, Macs, video game consoles and iphones. More products are coming soon.
If you want to sell an item through Flipsy.com, you have a couple of options:
Option 1
Sell to an online buyback company: There are companies that are in the business of buying products, reconditioning them, certifying them and then reselling them. Flipsy.com shows you what price these companies are offering for your product.
Option 2
Sell through the Flipsy.com marketplace: If you can't find an acceptable offer you can list your item for sale in the Flipsy.com marketplace using your PayPal account.

Flipsy.com provides a price range for the estimated worth of your item, taking into account what the item is currently selling for in online marketplaces and what it is selling for on popular classified ad sites like Craigslist. There are also graphs showing the device's price history.

An objective assessment of your used device's condition is of course important in determining its market price. For example, used Macs are categorized as Like New, Good, Fair, Poor, or Broken, on the basis of criteria as follows:
