1103 Sophiestication Software is offering a "Back to School" discount for its iTunes extender, CoverSutra. For limited time, users can purchase the application for 7.95 Euros (approx. $11 USD), about 50% off the regular price of 14.95 Euros.

In addition to the discount, Sophiestication announced the immediate release of CoverSutra 1.1.7. This new version adds support for the album rating field which was introduced in iTunes 7.4. CoverSutra adds a global shortcut to display the currently playing song in iTunes and updated jewel case artwork. The new version also fixes an issue regarding Last.fm scrobbling and adds Italian localization.

CoverSutra gives music lovers a handy and attractive way to control iTunes without having to leave the currently active application. CoverSutra does this through the use of global keyboard shortcuts, information bezels and a transparent floating window. In addition, CoverSutra has integrated support for Last.fm, the popular social music recommendation service.
