Corel Corporation, a leading developer of graphics, productivity and digital media software, today announced that Corel© Painter™ X has joined the //ADAPT 2007 Conference as the official sponsor of the new //ADAPT Art Expo. The //ADAPT Art Expo will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Montreal from September 24 - 28, 2007, and will feature work from some of Corel's outstanding Painter Masters, including noted concept artists Ryan Church and Andrew Jones, who will also be presenting as part of the conference program.

"We are proud to be the inaugural sponsor of the //ADAPT Art Expo," said Nick Davies, General Manager - Graphics and Productivity at Corel. "Supporting our user community and providing them with opportunities to showcase their work is central to the Painter team's philosophy. As one of the leading events of its kind in North America, this year's //ADAPT Conference will provide a powerful forum to showcase the capabilities of Corel Painter and the premier artists who make it a part of their creative workflow."

Open to conference attendees as well as the general public, the spacious //ADAPT Art Expo will feature exceptional digital artwork by the industry's most talented artists as well as entries from aspiring artists. Visitors to the Art Expo will have the opportunity to network with peers, relax and enjoy some of the industry's most innovative artistic creations. In addition, participants will see digital art transmitted off the screen and printed at high-resolution on canvas for the first time.

"We are thrilled to be working with Corel Painter X, an industry standard used by many of our speakers and attendees in their creative processes," said Jonathan Abenhaim Co-founder of //ADAPT. "This partnership is a testament to the growing popularity of and support for the //ADAPT Conference from the industry's leading vendors, studios and artists."

Corel Painter X is the world's most powerful natural media painting and illustration software, delivering a next-generation art studio that blurs the line between traditional and digital art like never before. Working closely with photographers and other professionals, the Painter X team explored the relationship between the artist's hand and the canvas. As a result, Corel Painter X has become the industry standard for digital painting and illustration, with the introduction of unparalleled performance, new composition tools and the revolutionary RealBristle™ Painting System that provides an organic painting and illustration experience, right down to the individual bristles on the brush.

Jones, a concept artist, co-founder of an Internet art community, and art director for Massive Black, will be presenting at the //ADAPT Conference on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 9:00 a.m. Church, a senior art director at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), will be presenting on Friday, Sept. 28 at 1:45 p.m.
