Cnet, what the heck is wrong with you?

906 Go ahead, read the article.

Ugh... where to begin?

Okay, first of all.. It's not April yet.. Cnet, turn your chair slightly and look at your Garfield Year-A-Day calendar. I know you've seen the part where he pulls Odie's tongue. Now look down and to the right. See where it says "March 15." That means, to put it succinctly that it's March.

March is not April. I went to a public school and even I know that. What are you, on a Lunar calendar?

Man alive.

Okay, next up. The Pepsi giveaways weren't counted in Apple's press release. But they're going to be counted because Apple is getting paid for them. They put out that release to let you know how badass the iTunes service is, especialy in regards to their competition, the closest of which (Napster) has only sold five million songs.

Finally, there's the time frame. Mac Daily News does a fine job of summarizing this: the 100 Million Songs target is April 28, 2004. And the Pepsi downloads will count, blah blah blah.

Man. You know, when we used to talk about anti-Mac bias in the press, back in the Bad Old Days of "beleaguered" Apple, this is the kind of stuff we meant.

Bill's been using Macs since the late 80s. When he's not making smartass remarks to amuse Kirk Hiner, he enjoys fighting for the user.
