Innovative Office Products, Inc. a designer and manufacturer of ergonomic mounting solutions for LCD monitors and keyboards, will display a new, easier-to-assemble version of the CinemaLift arm at Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Jan. 6-9, 2004. The arm, which lifts the Apple Cinema Display above the desk to provide users with greater flexibility and ergonomic benefits, was first introduced at Macworld Expo in New York in 2003.

The CinemaLift arm suspends the Cinema Display monitor above the desk surface and rotates 360 degrees at three swivel joints, allowing the user to quickly reposition the monitor with one hand. The arm is designed specially for the Apple product and complements the modern Apple style. For Studio Display users, the StudioLift arm is available. Both products can be found at quality Apple resellers throughout the United States and Canada.

"The ergonomic benefits of the CinemaLift are important to the Cinema Display, since it is commonly used in creative applications that require long computing sessions," said Bud Oddsen, president of Innovative Office Products. According to Oddsen, the unique design of the Cinema Display offers installation challenges for the CinemaLift arm, but the new model simplifies the assembly process, making it easier to fasten to the back of the monitor.

Benefits and features of the CinemaLift are:

  • Space saving: Liberates the desk surface, allowing the user to reclaim space previously filled by the monitor footprint, as well as unused space behind the monitor.

  • Information sharing: The pivoting capability of the CinemaLift arm allows monitor data to be shared between multiple users, ideal for graphic designers.

  • A 27-inch extension; folds into 3 inches.

  • Accommodates both 20-inch and 23-inch Cinema display monitors. The StudioLift arm is available for 17-inch studio display monitors.

  • Includes Flex Mount, which can be configured to mount the arm in nine different ways.

  • Standard models are finished in durable Powder Coated Slick Silver. Custom colors are available.
