Aspyr Media, Inc. will be showcasing the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront, Friday, May 20th at 7 p.m. at the monthly Aspyr game night at Austin's Apple store.
The Apple Store at Barton Creek Malllocated at 2901 S. Capital of Texas Highway in Austin (512-347-7888)hosts this free community event each month to demonstrate the quality of Mac gaming with the latest Macintosh games and the newest Macintosh equipment. Aspyr representatives will be on hand to give a short demonstration.
Star Wars Battlefront is an open-ended single-player and multiplayer action game which allows players to re-live all of the epic battles from the classic and prequel Star Wars film trilogies. Soldier types include standard infantry, scouts, heavy weapons and pilots. Each soldier has specialized abilities and the freedom to use ground-based turrets found on the battlefront as well as more than 25 diverse ground and air vehicles, including the AT-ST, X-wing and speeder bike, and the massive Republic Gunship that can hold up to five different soldiers. The team-based action within Star Wars Battlefront is set in more than a dozen unique locations across ten diverse planets, including Hoth, Geonosis and Endor.
The game, licensed from LucasArts and under development for Macintosh by Beenox Studios, is scheduled to ship in June 2005.
The game is rated T by the ESRB and is available for preorder at Aspyr's website for $49.99. For more information, fans can visit the official Star Wars Battlefront website.
