Applists.com Provides Unlimited Apps for iPhone and iPod Touch

1913 Elias Corporation has announced the formal launch of Applists.com Version 2.0, fewer than 90 days after the original launch date of July 18, 2007.

"Our goal is to get great apps into the hands of iPhone and iPod Touch owners the instant they need them, and to do so in the easiest, most intuitive, and respectful way possible" says Elias Corporation CEO Bill Denk. "Today, I believe we've accomplished just that.'

"iPhone owners have repeatedly told us that our original app was a notch above all other app launchers in the marketplace" says Denk. "Our patent pending ability to add multiple lists, combined with the sheer numbers of available apps, is what sets us apart from others in the marketplace. This new upgrade clearly gives us a solid lead as the world's top iPhone app aggregator.'

Denk's passion and respect for Apple Inc. was the driving force the launch of Applists. "We love the iPhone and have been owners since day one" he says. "I am constantly impressed by the nuances of the iPhone interface. In fact, many of the interface upgrades found in Applists 2.0 are built on top of the genius Apple incorporated directly into the iPhone. As an example, our alpha pad is based on the iPhone's key pad.

"We hope that iPhone owners will agree that we've helped to make an already great product even more attractive.'

Notable Applists 2.0 upgrades include:

• Thumb-Friendly Interface: Most people traditionally hold the iPhone in one hand and tap with their thumb. Applists 2.0's redesigned interface allows for ease of use with this ultimate fat-finger.
• Find Apps Faster: When Elias Corporation first introduced Applists less than three months ago, there were fewer than a dozen applications for the iPhone. As the list of Applists apps started to grow, so did the time people had to wait for app icons to load. "We solved that problem in several ways" Denk says, the biggest being the ability to type in a search box and quickly find the app they wanted.
• BYOA (Bring Your Own Apps): Since Applists' initial launch, iPhone owners have been extremely helpful in both finding and suggesting apps, with recommendations submitted daily. This new BYOA feature means people can add apps to their own free personal account instantly, essentially providing unlimited numbers of available applications.
• Sharing Apps and Lists: Another time saving feature is the ability for friends to share their list of Applists posted apps and even their own BYOA apps, However, Denk was quick to point out that Applists established a clear and absolute policy. "We never publish personal names or even lists for the world to see" Denk says. "Only those close friends that you know and trust will ever know you even exist in Applists.'
• Sets: This patent-pending feature may be the biggest time-saver. Sets are pre-created lists that can be added free to an iPhone or iPod Touch account with a single tap. Fans of a specific pro sports team, for example, can add a set that provides one-tap access to the team roster, individual player stats, current team news, schedules and even a map to help direct them to their home stadium.
The most endearing quality associated with Applists, Denk says, is the product's continued 'ad-free' service. "As consumers ourselves we've grown tired of the traditional advertising model – get a lot of people to visit your site and then bombard them with advertising" Denk said. "We believe that technology should enhance people's lives, not abuse them.'

As with the original version, Applists 2.0 enables iPhone owners to use their desktop Safari browser to add, update and modify their applists, which are instantly accessible when they pick up their iPhone.
