Apple Using SanDisk SSDs in the Retina MacBook Pro
AnandTech's Kristian Vättö says there has always been some level of lottery involved when buying an SSD-equipped Mac, starting with the 2010 MacBook Air, which he reports initially used Toshiba SSDs, but later some units shipped with Samsung SSD 470 based drives. Up until last year Apple kept using the same Toshiba and Samsung SSDs until the 2012 refresh brought SATA 6Gbps SSDs to Macs. The 2012 MacBook Air kept using drives from both Toshiba and Samsung, but Vättö reports that up to now, the MacBook Pro with Retina display (rMBP) has used only SSDs from Samsung, while the 256GB and 512GB SSDs used in the MacBook Air have been Samsung-made as well.
However, Vättö says it has been discovered that some rMBPs are shipping with SSDs from SanDisk.

Is There a Media Conspiracy Against Apple?
The. Street's Rocco Pendola says he can barely keep track of the number of people who email asking if I think there's a media conspiracy against Apple,
but maintains that there's not, and that the idea is "just plain dumb," noting that when Apple's stock price was climbing past $700, "practically everyone was passing out party hats."
