Now that the dust has settled from Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, we've had time to answer some of the most pressing questions relating to the iPhone 3G. Steve Jobs unveiled the next version of the popular handset to kick off WWDC, with the new iPhone arriving in Stores on July 11.
Although there are still some things we don't know about the iPhone 3Gand probably won't until we've had some extended face time with the updated phone - here's what we've figured out after talking to AT&T, scouring the Web, and racking our brains.

Rogers Planning Rate Changes Ahead Of iPhone

We can expect that, being an Apple product, the iPhone will be revolutionary in it's industry, but it may go as far as having a direct impact on the business model of wireless carriers around the world. It appears that this is the case with Rogers, Canada's iPhone carrier. Rogers Wireless president Nadir Mohamed announced at the Canadian Telecom Summit that they will be introducing new monthly rate plans to accommodate more intensive data usage for a wider number of devices, which is expected to include the iPhone.

CNET's Matt Asay reports:
Apple, continuing its reliance on open-source technologies, is using an open-source project called SproutCore to provide rich Internet applications like its new MobileMe service.
The idea is to use to keep Apple from being "locked into the browser plug-ins for...one particular standard."

Klausner Technologies is the owner of U.S. and international patents covering visual voice-mail products and services. The Apple iPhone's popular visual voice-mail feature was Klausner's disputed technology; Klausner said the iPhone's design infringed on its patent by allowing handset users to selectively retrieve voice mail via the iPhone's inbox.
