Eli Wilner & Company antique frames cost over $150,000... Now you can use these digitized world-class frames on your photos for just pennies with "eWilner Frames".
Recognized as the foremost American authority on period framing and founded in 1983, Eli Wilner & Company specializes in American and European frames from the 17th-through mid-20th centuries. Clients include fine art collectors, major art and historical institutions as well as The White House, where he has created 28 frames for its collection.
With a true gift for pairing a specific work of art with its proper frame, Eli Wilner takes pride in each project. Every frame is handcrafted to not only reflect the time in which the painting was created, but also to best reflect the framing choices known to be made by the artists themselves.
Most recently, he has created a hand-carved and gilded recreation of the lost original frame for Washington Crossing the Delaware by Emmanuel Leutze. This frame will be the focal point of the renovated American Wing at The Metropolitan Museum, and is slated to be unveiled at the opening in January, 2012. This unprecedented undertaking is one of the most complex restoration and reframing projects in the history of the museum.
The 3,000 lb gilded frame's opening size is over 18 x 24 feet, and is surmounted by an elaborate carved construction, twelve feet across, displaying an eagle, flags, pikes, a banner and other regalia.
In addition, Eli has been influential in helping achieve some of the record sales prices at both Christie s and Sotheby's Auction Houses over the past two decades including the Picasso that recently sold for $106 million.
Eli Wilner & Company is located at 1525 York Avenue in New York City.

Protecting Your iPhone
[Press Release]
If you're among the millions that already invested in an iPhone, or if you're thinking about it, you may have concerns about protecting your new investment. One of the most appealing features of the latest iPhone model, the dual front and back glass, has some owners particularly worried about its durability.
Repairing a damaged iPhone can be expensive -- some retailers charge $149 or more to replace a cracked screen. In addition, replacing a lost or stolen iPhone means paying full retail price -- up to $700 -- again.
Fortunately, there are steps you can take to protect your iPhone, give yourself some peace of mind and remain connected to family and friends.
A good case or silicone protector can help protect the back and sides against scratches and provide some impact protection.
A screen protector is a transparent film that protects the screen from scratches and can also help remove glare.
Some products, such as the invisibleShield Full Body Easy Install from Zagg, combine body and screen protection.
There are a growing number of waterproof cases designed specifically for iPhones, such as the Magellan ToughCase. It allows your device to be submerged up to 1 meter for a maximum of 30 minutes.
But what happens if, despite your best efforts, your phone is damaged? Or, what can you do if it's lost or stolen? Apple's extended iPhone warranty program only covers manufacturer defects and faulty batteries.
Renters or homeowners insurance may cover the loss of a phone, but there is usually a high deductible, and the phone is typically covered only as part of a larger claim, such as a fire or burglary. Before considering this option, check with your insurance agent to see if your phone is covered under your policy and what restrictions may apply.
Some consumer groups recommend keeping your previous phone as an emergency backup, or finding a temporary replacement from an online auction site. Most items on these sites are not covered by a warranty or product quality certification.
Another option is to set aside $5 or $10 each month as an emergency fund to go toward replacement. However, with the high-cost of iPhones, and other smartphones for that matter, saving enough could take a long time.
A more expedient option would be to choose wireless phone insurance. An iPhone protection plan, such as MobileProtect from Asurion, offers comprehensive coverage for the iPhone, covering not only damage, but also loss and theft.
"Nearly 50 percent of claims we see are filed for lost and stolen phones," said Cindy Christy, Asurion president. "MobileProtect, authorized by AT&T, is the first product to include loss and theft coverage, as well as protection in the event of damage, including water damage, and failure after the warranty expires. Plus, it provides the added convenience of next day replacement in most cases and a 12-month warranty."
iPhone customers may enroll in MobileProtect anytime up to 30 days after activating their new device. Customers simply visit the App Store, download the Asurion MobileProtect App, click "get started" and follow the guided process. Rather than large up-front fees, MobileProtect customers will be charged $11.99 monthly to their credit card. There is a one-time deductible for each approved claim of $99, $149 or $199, depending on the iPhone model.
To file a claim, MobileProtect subscribers can visit http://www.MyMobileProtect.com 24 hours a day, seven days a week to report a lost, stolen, damaged or faulty iPhone.

Art Authority for iPad Makes Educational Debut at Seton Hill University
[Press Release]
With the start of a new school year, Art History students at Seton Hill University will be using "Art Authority for iPad" as an integral part of their classes, the app's creators and the University announced today. The app is a key part of a pilot program aimed at understanding how the iPad and the app can aid, extend and transform the traditional learning environment.
In early April, 2010, Seton Hill announced that it will be providing an iPad to every student this semester. At the same time, Open Door Networks Inc. and Project A Inc. ("We-Envision.com") shipped Art Authority for iPad, a top-10 reference app that provides access to over 40,000 paintings and sculptures from over 1000 western artists, organized by artist name and artistic period. The natural synergy between the two was immediately obvious.
"When we heard about Seton Hill's program, we immediately realized what a great opportunity it was to understand how an app like Art Authority can supplement that type of learning environment, and how in turn that environment can supplement and evolve Art Authority," said Alan Oppenheimer, president of Open Door Networks. "It benefits the students, the university and us the developers. It's a huge win-win-win situation, and the way of the future."
Art Authority for iPad will be a key component of AR 200 "Italian Renaissance Art" and AR 205 "Modern Art" in the fall semester starting today. "The use of Art Authority on the new iPad will give our students enhanced learning advantages in the classroom as well as outside the classroom. Being able to instantly access visual information streamlines instructional technology in a fun, exploratory way," said Pati Beachley, associate professor of art and director of the Art Program at Seton Hill.
We-Envision.com is providing free copies of the app to art faculty and students as part of the pilot program, and will be working throughout the term to elicit and react to their feedback. "One of the great things about the whole iPhone/iPad development system is that we can make a change and potentially have it available within a week or two," concluded Oppenheimer.
Art Authority is also available for the iPhone and Macintosh, and is offered to educational institutions at half price through Apple's new App Store Volume Purchase Program.
Seton Hill University, founded in 1885 by the Sisters of Charity, is a coeducational Catholic liberal arts university in Greensburg, Pa. Seton Hill offers more than 30 undergraduate programs, nine graduate programs, and several advanced certifications. For more information on Seton Hill please visit the Web site or call 1-800-826-6234.
