1082 It's been a long time coming for Atlantic Canadian Apple fans; at 9:30 AM Atlantic time Saturday August 18, Apple will open its first Apple Store in any of the four easternmost Canadian provinces in the Halifax Shopping Centre at Halifax, Nova Scotia, which will be Apple's 24th Canadian store location. Several hours later, on the other side of the country, the 25th Canadian Apple Store will open at Coquitlam, British Columbia.

in a news release Apple affirmed that the new Apple Stores “will feature Apple’s full line of products providing customers with the opportunity for hands-on experience with iPad, iPhone, Mac and more, and has areas dedicated completely to Apple store essentials to get the most out of your Apple products."

The farthest eastern Canadian Apple Store had been at Quebec City, 632 road miles (1017 km) away and roughly ten hours driving distance. The new stores will feature Apple's full line of products providing customers
