Apple releases Security Update for 2004-12-02

535 Apple typically releases a security update every month, and THIS IS NO EXCEPTION!

Ho-kay. Let's get started. In your clients for the Panther 10.3.6 Client or Server editions, you get updates for:

Apache
AppKit
HIToolbox
Kerberos
Postfix
PSNormalizer
Safari
Terminal

Of interest to most end-users, the Safari fixes include a bug that allows an incorrect URL to be displayed in the status bar, as well as a glitch which could allow one window or tab to display a pop-up in another window/tab's pane, tricking an unwary browser into entering data unintentionally.

Users of Jaguar Client and Server editions get a similar fix, minus a couple of issues which don't exists for OS X 10.2.8.

A detailed report of the changes is available, and the software is available from the links above, or via the Software Download function.

Bill's been using Macs since the late 80s. When he's not making smartass remarks to amuse Kirk Hiner, he enjoys fighting for the user.
