I’m trying to run the hardware test for my tangerine clamshell ibook (a little dated but oh so cute!) I’m running OSX.3 and have downloaded the .dmg file several times, double clicked and the file opened. It only contains a read me text document. Any suggestions on where I might find the real mckoy?

Thanks,

Cathy

you need to burn the dmg to disk and then boot while holding down the “options” key.

then select to book from the apple hardware test cd

the problem you might now face is that you might be dumped back into the open firmware prompt, this is a know issue older disks.

if you do experience this problem you will need to get your hands on “Apple Hardware Test v2.0.2 CD”

not sure where to find it though

I didn’t know about this so far...By reading your post I came to know...Thanks for providing...Draper Tools
