Apple must be getting popular… they’re finding more security flaws

858 eEye Digital Security has discovered a flaw in Quicktime which could allow a malicious user (and aren't they all, really?) to remotely compromise a system.

Details are vauge at this point: eEye has made Apple and IBM aware of the problem, but isn't releasing any details until a patch is available. So it could be a problem with Macs running IBM chips, or it could be a PC architecture problem.

So, users who are concerned about the security of their machines should be careful how they use Quicktime. They should also be careful to regularly brush and floss, 'cause gingivitis, man...

Bill's been using Macs since the late 80s. When he's not making smartass remarks to amuse Kirk Hiner, he enjoys fighting for the user.
