The beta test for AOL Desktop for Mac may introduce changes to the underlying software and is not recommended for mission critical situations. New in version 1.0b7:
AOL Desktop for Mac Beta 7 is now using a new database structure for e-mail that will provide new features and performance optimizations. To enable the new mail store, all Beta 6 users' mail stores will be replaced by the new mail store. This will require users who imported mail to perform the process again. The updated mail store will also delete any mail stored locally (e.g., mail in the "On My Mac" folder). This does not affect mail stored on AOL mail servers.
