The "remnants" of Hurricane Noel roared into Atlantic Canada Saturday night, technically a "post-tropical storm," but still packing winds well in excess of hurricane force over an astonishingly wide area and causing a great deal of damage, including blacking out about one-fifth of the power grid here in Nova Scotia.
For me, laptop computers are key to being able to keep working through outages, and if I were dependent upon a desktop machine, I would be literally out of business for the duration. With the PowerBooks and iBook and some coping strategies, I'm good to go so long as the Internet stays up,,,,,
