At first glance, there's not much difference between Acrobat 9 and its predecessor, Acrobat 8. The program maintains its DGI format, meaning each document carries all of Acrobat's controls—independently. I protested this actively after the last release, but I apparently was a voice in the wilderness, and all my angst was for naught. I must move on. Fortunately, Acrobat 9 Pro has a lot to offer. In one very important respect, the never-ending controversy over whether Macs are more expensive than PCs is futile, and that would be that it's an Apples and, well, PCs, comparison. Only Macs can (legally) run the Mac OS, and that is huge, because that is the main event with Macs for many of us, who would, and indeed have in the past, pay a substantial price premium - if not happily, at least resignedly - in order to benefit from the manifold superiorities of the Mac OS. As long as Apple won't license the Mac OS, the argument is moot as far as we're concerned

What's the value? A computer that wont let you down just as a project is due, a paper is almost done, or just when you go to show a PC friend "Hey, check out how great my Mac is..." Despite the fact that Drive Genius can provide a variety of support for your Mac, the full value of Drive Genius is disappointing due to limitations in the software's functionality and poor documentation.
