Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space - strategy game2782

The concept of Weird Worlds is very simple. You're given a ship and have to go out into the unknown and uncharted galaxy to discover new life forms, get loot, upgrade your ship's weapons and shields, gain allies, and return home before your time is up to get the highest score.

Garden Dreams - arcade game3527

For years, your grandmother grew prize-winning vegetables. She couldn't keep the same pace in her older years, however, so her garden fell into neglect. Without the income from selling the vegetables, she couldn't pay her bills, so it's up to you to use your green thumb and help your grandmother out.

Roller Rush - arcade game2142

You're the newest employee of a drive-in diner, in charge of serving the customers who come each day. Roller Rush is another in the what I call Serve-Your-Customer genre of games which involve seating your customers, taking their order, delivering the food/drinks, getting the bill, and removing the empty plates.

Richochet: Lost Worlds - arcade game7476

Ricochet Lost Worlds (RLW) is, essentially, Breakout, in much the way that Lindsay Lohan is, essentially, that dull and pimply heavy-set 58-year-old waitress behind the counter at Rally's. Same basic premise, but with dramatically different presentation and allure.

Flip or Flop Home Edition arcade game2390

In Flip or Flop Home Edition, you find yourself bereft of your grandmother’s mansion, which by all family rights should be yours, and which was taken out from under your family's collective noses. No doubt, unscrupulous realtors and home flippers are to blame. What to do? Join their ranks!

Mystic Inn - arcade game4645

When I first played Mystic Inn, I thought it reminded me of an old arcade game called Tapper. But then, while watching SpongeBob SquarePants with my daughter (not that I need her around to have a reason to watch SpongeBob), I saw a brief ad for an online SpongeBob video game that featured gameplay just like Mystic Inn. I've since learned of a game called Wild West Wendy that's pretty much the same thing, and even Big Fish Games has titles for the PC called Diner Dash 2, Cake Mania and Snowy Lunch Rush that all look very familiar.

Mystery Case Files: Huntsville puzzle game7647

MCF (Mystery Case Files) Huntsville advertises itself as a sort of sleuthing game, where one must assemble the clues to solve a series of crimes. This initial description was appealing to me, as it likely was to other gamers, and I started my review with eagerness. This kind of game is usually reserved for a larger-scale release, because it typically requires significant human scripting, so I was curious to see how they could pull it off in a shareware version. And they didn't. Didn't even try. MCF Huntsville is not what is says it is. However, to say it does not match this description is not to say it is a bad game, it is just that, as sometimes happens with shareware games, the "sleuthing" is a bit oversold. To the point: it is an engaging game, but one with no sleuthing required.

Mythic Adventure arcade/puzzle game2771

There seems to be some confusion these days regarding the usage of the term "adventure." When I see a title such as "Mythic Adventure," I'm expecting to slay gryphons, battle sword fighting skeletons, be tested by Zeus and maybe, if I'm lucky, hang out in a bath house with some ladies in togas. None of that in this game, which is more about dragging colored tiles about. Breakout was not an adventure. Tetris was not an adventure. Mythic Adventure is not an adventure. It is, however, one of the more engaging arcade/puzzle games I've played in quite some time.

Bunny Bunny arcade/puzzle game2010

It's very rare when I can sum up all of my thoughts on a game simply by using the company's promotional copy. But when Phelios says their game Bunny Bunny is a "cute, teeny-tiny puzzle game in the style of retro Japanese brain teasers," I find there's really nothing more I can add. So, instead, I'll simply expand.

MilkyWay - image preview freeware1801

So, you have a desktop or folder of cluttered files, screen shots, images your friends dropped off for you to deal with, whatever. With MilkyWay, all you do is to click on the image, and "pop!" a small image pops up showing you what the image is. That's it.

Game Review - Fairies3482

The gameplay in Fairies is good enough. It's what you'd expect from such a game. Where Fairies distinguishes itself is in its design, which is meticulous in its detail. The animated fairies within the jars provide an extra degree of movement, but don't distract from the action of the game. Nor do all the sprite effects, which add a good deal of flair and a great deal of color. The backdrops are like nice matte paintings in old movies, and the illustrations you get as rewards for clearing levels are very well done...if you're into fairy artwork that didn't directly inspire a great Queen song.

Atlantis - arcade game5589

Most games with the Atlantis theme tend to be adventures, since the legend itself is a pretty big puzzle. I suppose there's a decent RPG or RTS lurking in the depths somewhere, and maybe even a first-person shooter. Why not? Aren't we all growing a little tired of Mars and Bastogne? But an Atlantis action/arcade game in the Tetris vein? Here it is.
