Aspyr Media, Inc. announced today that John Butler, veteran Mac programmer, joined their internal development team, Aspyr Studios. Butler joins several other programmers in the division that have already begun working on several of Aspyr's upcoming games.

Destineer's Macintosh unit, MacSoft, announces today that Microsoft Game Studios' best-selling real-time strategy game, Age of Mythology, for Mac OS X has gone GM and is in the final stages of manufacturing. Discs have been replicated and product will begin shipping from MacSoft's fulfillment center on Friday, November 14th. MacSoft estimates that Age of Mythology should start showing up on store shelves in the US by the middle of next week. The English version should be available to European customers by the following week.
