image Still not a terribly exciting browser, but version 3.5 brings a slate of enhancements, improvements, and refinement with some new features, more speed and improved memory management to this solid and reliable Web workhorse

Cool Mac Gear

image With the level of satisfaction I'd been enjoying with MacSpeech Dictate 1.3, the developer's announcement that they'd found a way to squeeze out up to 20% better voice recognition accuracy out of version 1.5 sounded almost too good to be true, but having tried it I can affirm that Dictate is now even more impressive than it had been, and the bar was already set pretty high

BumperCar534

Before most children are taught by marketers that they have to strive to be cool, they instinctively strive to discover and learn. Of course, like adults, they also strive to have fun. I'm willing to wager that, in many ways, the developers at Freeverse like to have the same kind of fun. How else could they create a web browser with the purpose of restricting access to websites of...uh...questionable content and still make it the most entertaining web browsing experience we've experienced yet?

FileMaker Pro 73028

As mentioned in my review of FileMaker 6, that was the last version of FileMaker that would run in Mac OS 9. If you have no plans to upgrade to OS X and are happy using FileMaker 6 in Mac OS 9, you might want to stop reading now. On the other hand, if you've enjoyed using FileMaker 6 in OS X and want to enjoy the new features of FileMaker 7, get ready for a treat. You will be mostly glad you did, as this new version of FileMaker has the most user-level benefits in a long time. This is one of the best FileMaker upgrades for the general user since FileMaker went relational.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King906

If you have read my review of Kelly Slater: Pro Surfer, you know that I hate button combo memorization games. However, this game worked for two reasons. First, you only had to worry about pressing the attack buttons in order instead of also having to face a certain direction at particular moments in the combo. Also, I could sometimes just button mash and make great combos. Thank God for button mashing.

iTalk voice recorder for iPod770

One of the best things about the iPod is that cool add-ons can make it even better. For instance, the iPod lacks an important feature that turns it from a toy into a useful business accessory: voice recording. But, here to the rescue is Griffin Technology with their new iTalk voice recorder. It's a tiny white microphone that plugs into the headphone jack at the top of your third-generation (dock connector) iPod. There are no buttons or software or anything to configure: just snap it in place and you're ready to record.
