Mozilla is an open-source web browser, designed for standards compliance, performance and portability.
New in this version:
Mozilla's bookmarks have been overhauled. Bookmarks now include a root level folder, the ability to have two differently named bookmarks pointing at the same location, site icons in the Bookmark Manager and Bookmarks Sidebar, and separators now have support for labels.

Emailchemy 1.5.1 Universal Email Import/Export Utility
Emailchemy is a utility that helps you regain ownership of your email. Emailchemy reads email from the proprietary formats of the most popular (and many of yesterday's forgotton) email applications and converts it to a standard, portable format that any application can use.
The primary idea behind Emailchemy was to convert all the various proprietary email formats to The One True E-mail Format - RFC-822 (recently updated to RFC-2822, but we'll still refer to it as RFC-822 to avoid confusion). This is the official Internet/ARPAnet standard for email that has been around since 1973. However, Emailchemy was built with a pluggable architecture that allows it to easily convert to other formats as well.
Things you can do with Emailchemy:
Convert email to standard formats
Repair or clean mailbox files
Remove proprietary extensions from mailbox files
Condense/split email files and archives
Prepare email for entry into a database
Make older email Year 2000 compliant
Supported Email Formats
Emailchemy currently can read the email files and mailboxes from:
Claris Emailer 1.x for Macintosh
Claris Emailer 2.0 for Macintosh (yes, that includes 2.0v3!)
Entourage
Eudora
Mac OS X Mail
Mozilla
Mulberry
Neoplanet
Netscape
Opera 4, 5, & 6
Outlook Express 4 and 5 Macintosh
Outlook Express 4, 5 and 6 for Windows
Outlook Express 5 for UNIX/Solaris
PowerTalk/AOCE for Macintosh
QuickMail Pro for Macintosh
QuickMail Pro for Windows
any UNIX-style mailbox (BSD mbox format)
Emailchemy currently can rewrite any of the above formats into:
RFC-822 mailboxes (commonly known as mbox or UNIX-style)
Folders of individual RFC-822 email files (.txt or .eml files)
Comma-separated value files (.csv)
Apples Mail.app format
Eudora for Macintosh
New in This Version

Emailer 2.0 wizard no longer freezes when encountering missing folders or invalid filename characters in folder names.
Restored nested output from wizards for some output formats.
System Requirements
Emailchemy runs on:
Mac OS X, version 10.1.3 or higher, with the Java 1.3.1 Update 1 installed.

QuoEdit 1.0.8 AppleScript & WorldScript Savvy Text Editor
QuoEdit is a plain text editor that runs on Mac OS 7.1 and later. While multi-styled editors are popular these days, plain text editor would be still one of fundamental tools to deal efficiently with text. So it might be good idea to use text editors properly depending on the works to do.
While QuoEdit is a very ordinary text editor, the most significant feature of it is probably that it supports AppleScript powerfully. Scriptable: full features (and more) of the application can be controlled by script (in AppleScript compatible manner). Recordable: you can record, replay and save your task sequence with/without the Script Editor (like keyboard macro). Attachable: you can attach your scripts to the menus (with some options) by either AppleScript or an included utility QuoEdit's Menu. As for the customizable menus, you can attach not only AppleScript scripts but also text, tags and any files openable from the Finder.
Search, another significant feature, supports ordinary search and regular expression (regex) search. As for the ways to search, ordinary search and batch find are available.
Other features are, WorldScript savvy (though just one encoding is available in a document), multiple levels of undo/redo, full shortcut key, and so forth. The text engine is my own code.
New in this version:
Rectangular Selection is supported now.
In AppleScript, a new class 'rect text' was added.
Adjusted behavior of intelligent cut and paste.

Impression 1.6 Backup Software
Impression is a Cocoa-based backup utility for Mac OS X
Impression 1.6 brings a significant speed boost and bug fixes to the backup application for OS X. File copy backup speeds have been improved by over 40%, and hfspax speeds by up to 10%. Some serious bugs and many trivial issues have been fixed as well.
Impression is being developed as an absolutely reliable, open-standards solution for archiving files to optical discs and locally-mounted media. It uses the 'hfspax' archiving tool which offers a reliable method for archiving all the facets and attributes of a complex Mac-based file. If an operator prefers to simply have files copied to the destination media, Impression offers this option as well. Large files are automatically segmented between disks with no need for operator input, save swapping CDs/DVDs when requested.
Both propellerheads and infrequent computer users should find that this application addresses their needs for a reliable, reasonably priced, open-standard backup solution. We all need to back up our data to keep it safe, and a single ~650MB CD is proving too limited to hold the multitude of files that we generate from our various digital input sources (video, music, photo, etc.)
Features include:
Cocoa-based application, GUI backup and restore operations. Beautiful, streamlined interface.
Impression offers the ability to back up small or large file sets to multiple optical discs (CD-R, CD-RW or DVD-R) or to disk images on locally mounted media.
Archives can be written to pax archives using the open-standard hfspax tool or simply file-copied to the backup destination.
Backup session information is saved and managed and incremental/differential backups can be based on previous backups with just an extra click.
Advanced tools include disk image compression options, grep-compliant regex pattern file exclusions and MD5 file checksum file validation to offer significant "peace of mind" after restoration.
Large files are segmented between discs and can be rejoined automatically when restoring from hfspax archives, or manually when restoring from file copy-based archives.
Files can be restored back into place or to a location of the operator's choosing. Permissions can be preserved and files can optionally be overwritten.
A handy CD-RW disc erasing utility is included.
Thorough error checking and clear prompt and logging messages are used throughout the application.
New in this version:
Instead of using 'hfspax' for file copy mode, 'ditto' is now the tool of choice.
Reworked some of the archive and disk sizing routines to effect some really nice speed gains. Combined with the use of 'ditto' (above item), the speed gains vary from respectable to tremendous.
Reviewed and rewrote many of the internal listing routines to effect greater speed gains and also to increase the accuracy of archiving UNIX symbolic link and Finder alias files. This fixes a few rarer bugs that were affecting the newly-added 'file copy' option.
Fixed a bug in which a temporary pax file could mistakenly grow too large, filling up the free space on the scratch (startup) drive.
Fixed a bug where Impression was archiving UNIX dot (".something") files even if the 'archive invisible files' option was unchecked.
Fixed a rare stack overflow bug that was presented is the application couldn't find all of its necessary BSD resources.
Fixed a bug in the restore routines that affected some situations where Impression incorrectly reported that an archive file couldn't be found upon drag-and-drop of a valid .pax archive.
Fixed some small UI bugs in the progress panel display during restore operations.
Fixed a bug where .part_a and .part_b archives were incorrectly described to be non-matching if they weren't both located in the same directory.
System requirements:
Mac OS X 10.2 or higher
BSD subsystem
iTunes/Disc Burner-supported CD-R/W or DVD-R drive (if archiving to CD/DVD)

EasyFind 2.8.1 Finds Files, Folders & Contents Without Indexing
EasyFind is an alternative to or supplement of Sherlock and finds files, folders or contents in any file without the need for indexing -- and therefore immediately. This is especially useful if you are tired of slow or impossible indexing, outdated or corrupted indices or if you are just looking for missing features like case sensitive or insensitive search, boolean operators, wildcards or searching for phrases. In addition, EasyFind uses multithreading and is therefore very responsive even with multiple search processes running, provides contextual menus and Mac OS X services and displays the location of each item in a separate column for a better overview. Finally EasyFind uses little memory, supports drag-and-drop and the clipboard and optionally finds invisible items or items within packages.
Version 2.8 features a new preference to scan all file contents regardless of file extension or HFS type, and options to search only for folders or to sort by file kind. Also, the contextual menu now acts according to Apple's Human Inferface Guidelines, and some minor bugs have been corrected.
New in this version:
Clicking on column headers changes sorting
EasyFind remembers if sorting was reverse
Some rare crashs fixed

Back up user prefs 2.4.7 Backs Up/Restores Prefs, Browser & Mail Files
A Mac OS X AppleScript freeware application, Back up user prefs backs up a user's ~/Library/Preferences folder for safety in the event of corruption of either individual preferences or the entire folder. It also backs up the ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook and the preferences folders for Chimera (Navigator) (v 2.3.7 added support for Camino, the newly-renamed version of Chimera) and OmniWeb that lurk in the ~/Library/Application Support folder and Mozilla and Safari in the ~/Library folder. (Netscape, iCab, Opera, and Microsoft Internet Explorer preferences are automatically backed up when the ~/Library/Preferences folder is saved.) Back up user prefs allows the user to elect to save previously backed-up preferences in the event that something goes wrong. In addition to the capabilities of earlier versions, which include the ability not only to restore preferences that have previously been saved using the application and allow the user to choose the location of saved preference files, v 2.3.7 and all later versions include a feature that permits the user to choose to restore 1) the Preferences folder only, 2) the browser files only, or 3) both the Preferences folder and the browser files. The application includes the option of backing up the user's Mail folder, as well as the Address Book folder (introduced in v 2.4.3), and it sports a very robust error-recovery capability that, in the event of a copying error caused by the presence of a file or files whose owner name is "system" or "root", which will result in an aborted backup, flags the culprit file(s) and lists it/them, offering suggestions as to how the user can reset the owner name to allow the application to work successfully.
Back up user prefs is freeware
System requirements:
Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) or higher (v1.2 is still available for those who have not upgraded to Jaguar)
New in this version:
Adds the ability for the experienced user to suppress nearly all of the user prompts and warning dialogs.
A CAVEAT: Do not take advantage of this feature unless you are already acquainted with the workings of past versions of this application! If you are at all in doubt about what the new option entails, click on the "What will happen?" button in the dialog that asks whether or not you want to use the "Auto-pilot" feature.
