Now this is interesting (sort of): all-but-bankrupted United Airlines has come up with a new treat. According to the Associated Press, United will be the first airline to offer "two-way email capability aboard all its domestic flights." Personally, we could wait until we landed and got home before slogging through the spam. This service will cost you about $16 per flight, incidentally, a small price to pay, perhaps, for those who never rest. Evidently the availability of email is something business flyers consider critical, though we wish they'd just read a magazine or take a nap instead of tapping away beside us. All right, we're weird. But consider this possibility: in-flight email allows for all kinds of transmissions, like "The plane is directly over Kansas City: set your shoes on fire NOW!" Under the circumstances, penile enlargement scams would be almost welcome.
