We recently posted an article
about how pornography sites snap up expired domains with
"link equity," i.e. existing links to the expired domain, so
that they can redirect traffic to their own Web sites. You
may be interested in the following tidbits from an
Applelinks reader and Mac Webmaster on how this relates to
Mac sites. We were!

We think we've made our point. The only solution to this
is for some good Mac Samaritan with extra cash on hand to
buy up the domains of dying Mac sites and maintain redirect
pages of a different nature on someone's server.
