Asanté Technologies, Inc. announced yesterday that Macworld presented a "Best of Show" award to the new FriendlyNET® FR3002AL, a wireless-ready cable/DSL router.

Support for future high-speed wireless standards is also planned.

Designed to provide multiple levels of security, the FriendlyNET FR3002AL contains a natural firewall with network address translation (NAT) to protect users' privacy: the security-hardened FriendlyNET router is the only IP network address exposed to outside elements. With spread-spectrum signaling, domain access control, wired equivalent privacy (WEP) encryption, and group security, the 128-bit high-security configuration safeguards all wireless data transmissions.
