Inside Javits Center (Photos)

By Senior Editor John H. Farr

The Applelinks advance team managed to take some pictures just before the the crowds poured into the exhibition hall at Macworld New York Conference & Expo 2001. Here's what the place looked like!

Connectix is hard at work on Virtual PC for OS X, you know. This is their exhibition area. If the picture had been taken after the keynote, you wouldn't be able to see nearly as much.

We think you can guess who these folks are. Interestingly, we're looking at the now discontinued Blue Dalmation iMac in the foreground and thinking it looks pretty good. The shiny patterned surface has a marine look to it, in fact. Blue Dolphin might have been a better name and lasted longer.

A temporarily uncrowded aisle near the Applelinks booth (#1540). Once the show opened, it never looked quite like this again. Please check back soon, because the Applelinks crew is in place and taking more pictures to show you.
