Dr. Bott's DVIator for ADC Available May 2001

Wednesday, May 2, 2001

Press Release Edited By Applelinks Contributing Editor Charles W. Moore

Dr. Bott has announced the DVIator for ADC. DVIator connects Apple's latest flat-panel displays to any computer with a compatible DVI video signal. You don't have to buy a new G4 to drive the coolest display around.

DVIator (Pronounced "deviator") allows the use of ADC displays through industry standard DVI video. Not only does DVIator depart from the norm of only allowing one ADC display on the latest Macs, it also allows the use of multiple ADC displays on ADC G4s.

"Apple's ADC displays are without-a-doubt the coolest screens around. We are thrilled to give millions of Apple's PCI Mac users the opportunity to use these displays," said Eric Prentice, CEO of Dr. Bott LLC. "Seeing a G4 with a 22" Cinema Display is impressive. However, DVIator goes one step further by allowing multiple ADC displays on the same Macintosh. A Mac with dual Cinema Displays is absolutely amazing."

DVIator combines DVI video, USB and external power to drive Apple's ADC 15" and 22" displays without any loss in quality or functionality. It is compatible with all G4 Power Macs with built-in DVI video and older Macs that have a compatible DVI video card installed. Dr. Bott's internal testing included Beige Macs all the way down to the 7200.
