Sonnett Offers Presto Plus Processor Upgrade Cards For '030 and '020 Macs

The Presto Plus upgrade features:
• 66/33 MHz 68040 Processor (FPU optional)
With the Sonnet Presto Plus upgrade card you will have the processing power to run 68040-based applications and games. The Presto Plus features a 66/33 MHz 68040 processor, the same Motorola chip used in Macintosh Quadra and Centris computers. Sonnett claims that the upgrade card delivers up to a 1000% overall speed improvement and can be configured with an optional FPU (math coprocessor) for faster mathematical calculations in spreadsheets and graphic applications.
• Onboard 32 MB RAM expansion
The Presto Plus incorporates a RAM expansion SIMM slot that includes a 32MB SIMM which adds to the existing RAM in your system. For example, if you have a system that is currently maxed out at 10MB, the onboard RAM of the Presto Plus will add an additional 32MB for a total of 42MB of dedicated system RAM. With more RAM you will be able to run memory-hungry applications, Mac OS 8.1, later Internet web browsers, and educational programs.
• Built-in Ethernet
The built-in 10-base-T Ethernet port of the Presto Plus is perfect for schools and individuals who want to hook up to the Internet through an Ethernet network or cable modem.
• Supports Mac OS 8.1
The Presto Plus processor upgrade card supports system software up to Mac OS 8.1. Sonnet's proprietary Mac OS 8 Enabler software works in conjunction with the Presto Plus card to provide you with a seamless and easy upgrade solution to running Mac OS 8.1 on your computer. The Presto Plus upgrade is compatible with System 7.1-Mac OS 8.1.
