Macs Do Well At UK PC Magazine Product of the Year Awards

While PC World mag ranked the PowerPC chip as one of the “10 Biggest Hardware Flops” of all time (perhaps they got confused with gigaflops!), the Macintosh did rather better in the UK PC Magazine’s TINA Product of the Year Awards, selected anually to honor products “that show true innovation in the computing industry.”

- The Apple PowerMac G3 and Apple PowerMac G4 were first and second runners- up for Best Desktop System.

- The Apple PowerMac G3 was first runner-up for Excellence in Usability.

- The Apple PowerMac G4 was first runner-up for Best Graphics Hardware

- The Motorola G4 came third in the Best System Design (Processor) category
